FU2NOIZ (c.32) has been carefully archived and patiently awaiting its release since 2011. Born out of what was THEN a newfound love for cassette tape, hollow sounds, natural reverb, pitch manipulation, loop utility, input overload distortion, vocal experiments, fading in and out... this release NOW comes from a desired feeling for congruity and reclamation.

Night at Oakwood Park is one of the earliest compositions by WRECKED. This piece is a rigorously rehearsed tape collage made for live performance and is in this way similar to the WRECKED catalog which predates it. While the sound material certainly embraces chance, the performance is precise in its construction and execution. The final recording process is live and dry so that the listener hears what it is like to be in the room at the time of the performance.

FU2NOIZ (in Stereo) marks a paradigm shift for WRECKED. Featuring improvised vocal experiments over top of nonchalant keyboard riffs, the arrangement is by a multi-track recording process. This approach marks the work as a departure from the well rehearsed performance and live final recording style of Night at Oakwood Park. While maintaining a scrupulous bend, FU2NOIZ (in Stereo) embraces experimentalism in all aspects of production: writing, performance, and recording.

NOW, 10 years since final tracking, this work breathes new life as a long awaited public release, FU2NOIZ.
